Just Knock is designed to keep your personal records on your iPhone. This policy explains what the app stores locally, what information you may choose to send, and the limited technical data processed by this website.

At a glance: Just Knock has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking SDK, or developer-operated cloud sync. The developer does not receive your Rules, Triggers, Gestures, or records through the app.

1. Who operates Just Knock

Just Knock is developed and operated by Xiaochong Zhao, an independent developer. This policy applies to the Just Knock iPhone app and the website at justknock.app.

2. Information stored on your device

The app stores the information you create or configure locally on your iPhone. This may include:

Rule names, types, and active or inactive status;
Knock, Gesture, and Trigger configurations;
Moment and Activity records, including dates, times, and durations; and
App preferences and purchase-entitlement cache.

This information is used on your device to provide the app’s features. It is not transmitted to or accessible by the developer through the app. Your device and backup settings may cause app data to be included in backups managed by Apple; those backups are controlled by your Apple settings and Apple’s terms.

3. Purchases and Apple services

Just Knock uses Apple’s StoreKit to offer Just Knock Pro as an in-app purchase and to verify purchase entitlements. Purchase, payment, refund, restoration, and eligible Family Sharing information is processed by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy and App Store terms. The developer does not receive your full payment-card information.

The app also uses on-device Apple frameworks for local notifications and Live Activities. Just Knock does not use remote push notifications or a developer-operated notification server.

4. Information you choose to share

Data exports

If you export CSV or JSON data, the app gives the export to the iOS share sheet. You decide which app, person, or service receives it. The developer does not automatically receive or retain your exports.

Feedback and support

If you email zxchong.nl@gmail.com, the developer receives the email address, message, attachments, and technical details that you choose to include. The in-app feedback draft includes the Just Knock version and your iOS version; it does not automatically attach your records.

This information is used only to respond, provide support, diagnose reported problems, and improve Just Knock. It is not sold or used for advertising or unrelated marketing. Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request and related follow-up, or as required by law. You may request deletion by emailing the same address.

5. Website technical logs

When you visit justknock.app, the web server may process limited technical information such as your IP address, request date and time, requested path, response status, referring page, and browser User-Agent. This information is used only to operate and secure the website, investigate failures, and prevent abuse. Access logs are retained for no more than 7 days.

The website does not use analytics services, advertising technology, tracking pixels, profiling, or cookies.

6. Disclosure of information

The developer does not sell or rent personal information. Information you voluntarily provide may be processed by the email and hosting providers needed to deliver those services, or disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or respond to a valid legal request.

7. Your choices and deletion

You control the records stored in Just Knock and can delete individual data in the app. Removing the app deletes its locally stored container from your iPhone, subject to any device backups you control through Apple. You control where exported files are sent. For support correspondence or website-related privacy requests, contact the developer at the address below.

8. Children’s privacy

Just Knock is a general-purpose productivity app and is not directed specifically to children. The app does not transmit personal information to the developer. If the developer learns that a child provided personal information through a support request in a manner not permitted by applicable law, it will be deleted.

9. Security

Just Knock minimizes data transmission by keeping app records on your device. Reasonable safeguards are used for the website and support information, but no device, email system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Just Knock’s features or legal obligations change. Material changes will be reflected on this page by updating the “Last updated” date. If a future version begins collecting data through the app, the policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before that collection begins.
